Founded by Jason Haigh-Ellery in 1998, Big Finish have created over 3,000 audio productions. Our most successful range has been Doctor Who and the multiple spin-offs from this series.

Big Finish Creative, founded in 2011 in Sydney Australia has produced six animated series of Doctor Who and the original 26-part drama Prisoner Zero for ABC and Netflix

Big Finish Entertainment has produced two reality shows for TV3 in Ireland – Nadia Goes to Hollywood and Nadia: Chasing the Dream, both of which were highly successful. Big Finish Chairman Jason Haigh-Ellery also worked with the BBC on Strictly Dance Fever and RTE1 on Fame: the Musical, where the winners performed in two of his musicals.

Big Finish Creative have Executive Produced the Paramount+ Teen Drama More Than This with ACTF, Baby Banksia and Shapeshifters in Melbourne Australia – filmed during lockdown. The series was launched on Paramount+ in March 2022 to substantial acclaim. Scripts for season 2 are being developed for 2023.

Big Finish are working with Ambience to develop three new drama series, including the new teen drama Every Saturday Night set on the Central Coast in New South Wales. The series is created by Jason Haigh-Ellery and David Devjak (“Home and Away”).

Big Finish Chairman Jason Haigh-Ellery is acting as an Executive Producer on two drama series in development with BBC Studios for 2023/24.

Big Finish Theatre have produced 16 shows in the West End and 28 shows on tour. Big Finish Theatre are presently producing or co-producing Footloose – the musical, Flashdance, Fame, Rock of Ages, The Wedding Singer, White Christmas, Curtains, Bonnie and Clyde and a new version of An Officer and a Gentleman – the musical with Paramount Pictures. Big Finish Theatre has worked with Lythgoe Family Entertainment in Los Angeles since 2010 bringing pantomime to America with such performers as Ariana Grande and Neil Patrick Harris.

Executive Producer Jason Haigh-Ellery

Jason founded Big Finish Productions in 1998 and the company has grown to be the largest independent producer of Audio Drama in the world, working regularly with media corporations such as the BBC, ITV and MGM on Doctor Who, Torchwood, Stargate, The Avengers, Space: 1999 and on original series such as The Confessions of Dorian Grey.

Jason has always been keen on theatre production, first as a director and now having produced 16 West End shows including, Footloose – the Musical, Never Forget, Yes Prime Minister, The Ladykillers, Bonnie and Clyde and New Boy. He has also been a Producer on 28 touring shows, including High Society, The Steamie, The Wedding Singer, Fame, Flashdance, Rock of Ages, Wasted, and Curtains. As part of the production team, Jason was an Olivier award recipient for Jeeves and Wooster…In Perfect Nonsense.

In 2005, Jason was a founding director and helped fund the creation of the actor’s agency Intertalent. In 2011, Jason also founded the animation house Big Finish Creative in Sydney, Australia, working with the BBC on three animated versions of Doctor Who and then producing the original 26-part drama Prisoner Zero for ABC and Netflix. He is Executive producer of the new Paramount+ teen drama More Than This. On film, Jason has acted as an Executive Producer on The Time of their Lives distributed by Universal Pictures and on last year’s Mrs. Lowry and Son starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave.

Executive Producer Nicholas Briggs

Nicholas Briggs, also known to Doctor Who fans as the voice of the Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon, Ice Warriors and other monsters, has been writing and directing for Big Finish since the company’s first foray into audio drama back in 1998. He directed the first Bernice Summerfield adventure and then, in 1999, wrote, directed and provided the sound design and music for the first Doctor Who audio drama, The Sirens of Time — to this day, one of the company’s highest-selling titles. And he’s been the creative force behind many of Big Finish’s landmark releases ever since (including the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who story The Light at the End, Sir John Hurt’s War Doctor series as well as the acclaimed audio reimagining’s of The Prisoner and Space: 1999, plus his Audie Award-winning adaptation of The War of the Worlds, The Martian Invasion of Earth.)

Senior Producer John Ainsworth

John Ainsworth has been working with Big Finish since 1998 and is an experienced and enthusiastic media professional who specialises in producing multicast audio dramas and audiobooks. To date, has produced over 100 productions, working with some of the UK’s best actors and readers. In addition to audio books and dramas, John has produced the voice work for video games and animation. He has also worked in publishing as a magazine and book editor.

Supervising Producer Lizzie Worsdell

Lizzie Worsdell is an award-winning actress and producer who gained an Associate’s degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles and a Masters in Filmmaking (Distinction) from Raindance, London.

After working as an actress in London and LA, she made her producing debut on the short film “Disarm” starring Sophia Myles. Several of her films are currently doing the festival circuit including BAFTA and BIFA qualifying ‘The Carer’ directed by Game of Thrones’ Amrita Acharia and starring Industry’s Priyanga Burford.

She founded her own production company Eldub Films in 2020 and recently started working as Supervising Producer at Big Finish Productions.

Lizzie is passionate about making female-centred work and representing a side of society that isn’t typically shown on screen.

Big Finish employ twenty-two full-time staff including a three-person Marketing and PR team, as well as a team of sixty-five independent writers, editors, producers, and directors. They are supported by a core distribution and archive team of eight.
